So, I'm putting the engine back in the trans am. The motor mounts are so unbelievably tight the only way I can see to put it back in is perfectly square, straight down. Almost like an insert tab a into slot b scenario.  Having a hell of a time, can't get it level. Any trick to this?

Make sure you’re in the right hole. Also, don’t be afraid to use a bit of lube . Oh, and try avoiding brute force to start off - you might be binding up on s omething and a kinked hose will end your night awfully early . Maybe once you know your way around in there, some rougher movements will speed things along. Thankfully it’s only tight and awkward the first time .

You’re not supposed to install it with the motor mounts already attached. Locate and then install mounts.
